The idea developed in early 2011 and the site has grown and become polished in a short amount of time. The team at MyGarden consists of Dieter De Weirdt, Lieven Gekiere and Maarten Cammaert. As of April 2012, the site hosted 2,574 gardeners and had cataloged over 6,064 different species of plants.
